A Greater Inheritance

In Mark 10:17, a wealthy man comes to Jesus and asked, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” Jesus went told that man that he needed to follow the commandments, which the man said he had done from his youth. Then Jesus told him to sell, give the money to the poor and follow Him. After hearing Jesus words, Verse 22 says, "he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions."

Things of this world can be tools or idols. We will either use them to change lives in a positive way, or we will worship them. We will use them to impact the Kingdom for God, or we will build a shrine to them.

Just like Jesus asked the wealthy man to sell his possessions, we need to sacrifice anything that stands between us and Christ. We must give up the things of this world, in order to receive A Greater Inheritance from Christ!
