What Is Most Important?

In Matthew 22:36, Jesus was asked which of the commandment was most important. Jesus replied, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment." That would not have been a huge shock, but then Jesus continued, "And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

God is great God, even loving us before we loved Him. The scripture says, that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Again God is a great God... it's pretty easy to love Him! BUT people, that can be a task sometimes. Sometimes people do things to you that truly make it hard to love them. People can be rude, nasty, and they even steal from you.

The funny thing is though, Jesus didn't say to love people when they were nice to you. Actually, Jesus said in Matthew 5:44, that we should even love our enemies. Then He went on to say in Verse 46, that people that love only the ones that love them are no better than tax collectors (who for the most part were full of greed and deception).

Show God's light and love, by choosing to love people! If for no other reason, do it because it was important to God!
