What does a typical Sunday look like?

Glad you asked!

Arrival

A typical Sunday begins when you arrive at the church.  You will find a parking area designated especially for our valued visitors. As you enter the church building, our hospitality team will welcome you with open arms, provide you with a bulletin, a welcome packet, and offer assistance if needed. Nursery is available for children from newborn to three years old. Children from four to sixth grade, get released to go to Children's Church during the main service, just after praise and worship.

Main Service

The main service on Sunday morning is in the church sanctuary and begins at 10:30 am. We don't have assigned seating, so feel free to find a seat wherever you feel comfortable. If you are an early arriver, there is coffee available in the kitchen area from 10 am - 10:30 am.  This is a great time to drink a cup of coffee and get to know some of the church regulars.  The service begins at 10:30 am with any important announcements, then quickly moves on to the worship portion of the service.

Worship Service

The worship team leads a good mix of both contemporary and classic praise and worship songs that will help you release burdens and express your love to God. The lyrics are displayed on the front wall, via an overhead projector, and you can participate as you feel comfortable.

Children

After the praise and worship, which usually runs about thirty minutes, the children come up to the front and get prayed for as a group, before getting released to go to the Children's Church.

Sermon

During the sermon, the pastor or guest speaker will deliver a Biblically-based, powerful message that will teach and empower you.  Every message is meant to have a positive impact on your life, and lead you closer to Christ.  At the conclusion of the message, an altar call will be given, which allows an opportunity for anyone in attendance to receive prayer, or make a commitment to Christ or the church.

Attire

At New Life, we have no dress code. Our services are casual and welcoming, you can wear a suit, jeans, shorts, or whatever you are comfortable wearing. However, most people dress similarly to Pastor George, who wears jeans and an untucked, long-sleeved shirt. The main thing is to come ready to receive God’s Word and everything that He has for you.

Offerings

Offerings collected during the service help to financially support the work of Christ, through New Life and it's ministries. You may notice,  however, that a time of offering or passing a plate was not mentioned during the service time. That's because at New Life, we do not pass a plate. We believe in giving, although, we also realize that giving is a form of worship between you and God. We do, however, have offering boxes in the back of the sanctuary, as well as online giving that can be utilized. As a visitor, your financial gift is welcome, but in no way are you obligated to contribute.

Wednesday Night

During Wednesday Night Service, which begins at 7 p.m., there are three separate services. Adults led by Pastor George, which meets in the sanctuary. Youth service is led by Pastor Daniel and meets in the Youth Room.  Children's Church led by Pastor Diane, which meets in the main Children's Church room.
